Biography

Matt Pittroff

Meet Matt Pittroff, Director of Deadpan, who sees problems as punchlines and turns challenges into comedic content possibilities. With a sharp wit and a knack for finding the absurd in the ordinary, Matt creates humor that’s not just entertaining, but downright intelligent.

In 2004, he founded WorkingStiff, a production company that’s more than a name—it’s a way of life. It’s a shop where commercials are crafted with care, honoring the creative process and the people behind it. Stiff’s philosophy fosters relationships that stand to stand the test of time.

Matt’s storytelling prowess, attention to detail, innate problem-solving and collaborative spirit have been the cornerstone of Stiff’s success over the past two decades and have earned him a reputation for having “just the right amount of OCRD”. Matt’s work shines brightest when even the smallest details add a tangible layer of hilarity and has earned accolades at Cannes and features in Adweek and SHOOT and film festival laurels around the world. The films graced screens for brands like Hilton, Bank of America, National Car Rental, Spectrum and KFC.

Despite these achievements, his self-proclaimed ultimate accomplishment is his client gifted, “World’s Greatest Director” coffee mug. Legend has it that no matter how many times it’s fallen, the mug remains unbroken, just like Matt’s spirit.
