Biography

Tamir Moscovici

Tamir Moscovici is an award-winning international filmmaker, but when he’s not travelling the world creating cinematic masterpieces, he’s humbled by the daily life shuffle of having two kids, a wife, two dogs and a cat. Tamir always knew he wanted to tell stories. Since career day in grade 8, when the options presented to him were doctor, lawyer, or accountant, he knew that a life behind a desk was not for him. Being an only child, Tamir grew up on film. Early films like ET, Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark and anything by the Coen Brothers drove his thirst for film and desire to be part of it.

Tamir started at Concordia University, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, specialization in film production. Fresh out of school, he worked in the camera department on tv and films such as Blues Brothers 2000, Robocop and Cronenberg’s eXistenZ. From the camera department, he transitioned to directing after a brief stint as an agency producer.

Tamir brings a cinematic eye to every project. His attention to detail and industry knowledge makes him a standout talent. Tamir has turned a passion for old cars, bikes and anything with a motor into a long automotive advertising and filmmaking career. His personal doc project Urban Outlaw redefined the industry standard for automotive storytelling. Storytelling and cinematic realism are the fire that drives every project Tamir takes on.
